How early should we book you?We recommend booking your event as early as possible to secure your preferred date. Certain times of the year can be busier than others, and we often receive bookings up to two years in advance, as well as last-minute requests. To reserve your date, a deposit of $500 is required. We look forward to helping you create an unforgettable experience!

When do I sign my wedding contract?You will sign your contract when you make the deposit downpayment.

Do you have to tip the DJ?Adding a gratuity to the final payment is entirely up to you. It is a very nice way of saying thank you for the great job! Usually 10-20% of total when done.

Do you DJ outside?DJ Ultralight does NOT offer outside DJing - Weather can be VERY unpredictable. We will DJ in large industral tents (Must be professional set up & Insured)

How much is a deposit for a wedding?To secure your date, a non-refundable deposit of $500 is required. This deposit will be applied towards your total balance. Once received, it will reserve your date, provided it is still available. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to working with you!

How do I find out if you're available on my date?Go to Contact us, call, email, or message us your date!

When do you arrive & leave? (all events)Arrival For every event we usually arrive 90 to 120 mins before hand to ensure all equipment is properly set up and we're ready to go by the start of your event! Departure typically 30-90 mins, Someone not from DJUltralight must be there to lock the doors after us. We do not take responsibility for unlocked doors

Do you accept song requests during your performance?Yes, we typically have a song request table during most events unless otherwise noted or limited room

What areas do you serve?If you are within 90 miles of Mankato MN your mileage is included in the pricing. We are available for events beyond our standard service area for an additional fee depending on distance.

What do you require from my event site?Adequate power (120-volt, 15-amp circuit on a grounded outlet) within 35 feet of where the DJ will be set up. If your event will occur in multiple spaces (such as a wedding ceremony in another area) then your DJ will need access to electricity in those areas as well.

Will our DJ act as an Emcee during our event?Yes, we will act as an Emcee during your event. This is one of the services we offer. Your DJ will make all announcements and make sure that the night keeps on track according to your time line.

When do we make a payment?You can make payment at any time via your Portal. A deposit of $500 is required to secure your date. No additional payments are necessary until one month before the event, at which time 50% of the remaining balance will be due. The final balance is due two weeks prior to the event. We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to making your event a success!

Will you work with my other vendors?Absolutely! We will collaborate closely with your banquet manager, photographer, videographer, and any other vendors involved in your event to ensure seamless coordination. Our goal is to minimize repetitive questions, allowing you to relax and fully enjoy your special day. While I am not just a DJ, but also an entertainer and event coordinator, we highly recommend having a dedicated event coordinator for the best experience.

What happens if the DJs cancel?At DJ Ultralight Entertainment LLC, we pride ourselves on our reliability and professionalism. Over nearly a decade of performing, we have only canceled once, providing a full month’s notice due to an unexpected surgery. In the rare event that we do need to cancel, we are committed to assisting you in finding a suitable replacement DJ and will issue a full refund of all payments and deposits. We understand the importance of your event and take the responsibility of cancellation very seriously. Our track record speaks for itself, with nearly a perfect record of no cancellations. You can trust us to be dedicated to your event and to delivering an exceptional experience.

Do we have to Feed the DJ?You are not required to provide food for the DJ although it is a welcomed gesture. Please advise your DJ if they will be fed or not?

What if we want a song that is not on your libary?We have an extensive music library of over 30,000 songs—and continuously expanding—we strive to accommodate all your musical preferences. If there are specific songs or artists you would like that are not currently in our collection, simply add them to the "Must Have" section of your list, and we will ensure to secure them for your event. Your satisfaction is our priority!

Do you have liability insurance?Yes, our policy contains $1,000,000 of coverage for each venue/event we perform at. DJ Ultralight's Certificate of insurance can be downloaded on your wedding portal

Terms and Conditions for CouponsEach Client is entitled to one coupon. Coupons are not transferable and are not redeemable for cash and cannot be combined with any other coupons or any other offer or discounts or promotions. Coupon only valid for listed client Each coupon is valid for a limited time only and expires on the date specified on the front. A coupon cannot be applied to bookings previously placed with DJ Ultralight DJ Ultralight reserves the right to discontinue a coupon at any time Other Terms and Conditions may apply that are not listed. How early should we book you?A good rule of thumb is to book as early as possible. There are obviously busier times of the year than others. We take some bookings up to 2 years in advance and some last minute. $400.00 deposit is required to book a date.
